The shared commitment that guides the mentors and this course

Mikael Mofarrej

Sessions 1 – 3
Relationship • Self-Contact • Schisms

Berlin, Germany
mikael@unfoldingbeing.org

Mikael brings unusual clarity, warmth, and sensitivity to the subtle movements of transformation. He has a lived familiarity with paradox and helps people stay close to the living edges of their own experience, opening to the immediacy of the wholeness that is emerging.

Marika Baxter

Sessions 4 – 6
Subtle Core • Transmission • Perception

Fairfield, Connecticut
marika@mb1wellness.com

Marika brings a highly attuned sensitivity to the body and to subtle layers of emotion, energy, and consciousness, along with a grounded joy in expressing what is alive and true for you. Her warmth makes it easier to be deeply human—messy, tender, and still arriving—and to feel at home in her presence and in yourself.

Jason von Halle

Sessions 7 – 9
Compassion • Sexuality • Love

Jason brings steadiness, grounded warmth, and a sensitivity – shaped by lived experience – to complexities and subtleties of opening more fully to life. He helps people feel supported in their vulnerability and more able to meet themselves and others with integrity, understanding, and heart.

The Invitation

Mentoring Intimacy asks: What becomes possible when we deepen our capacity for true contact — with ourselves, with others, and with life itself?

Drawing on Judith Blackstone’s The Intimate Life: Awakening to the Spiritual Essence in Yourself and Others, we explore questions such as:

  • How do I stay in contact with myself when relationship becomes difficult?
  • How do I open to another without merging, distancing, performing, or disappearing?
  • How does love touch the places in me that have been protected?

True contact asks us to be authentic and deeply in touch with ourselves. It asks us to inhabit the body, open to others without losing ourselves, and allow relationship to reveal where we are defended, longing, afraid, or ready to become more real.

Rather than seeing these patterns as obstacles, we begin to recognize them as invitations — into deeper self-contact, greater authenticity, and a more intimate relationship with ourselves, others, and life.

At the heart of this course is something rare: the living inquiries of the participants inform the curriculum. Nine certified Realization Process teachers — in dialogue with their private mentors — each offer a 30–40 minute experiential exploration to the whole cohort. Shaped through private mentoring, each exploration emerges from a place where Judith’s words have become real in that person’s body, relationships, and life.

Following each exploration, their mentor guides a whole-cohort inquiry into what was touched, challenged, clarified, or revealed. Each session concludes with Integration Groups — ongoing groups of three that remain together throughout the program, creating a steady relational space in which personal inquiries can deepen and evolve.

The text illuminates the territory. The practices make it experiential. The explorations make it personal.

Here, vulnerability is welcomed. Uncertainty is encouraged. Reality itself becomes the teacher.

The mentors support each participant in experiencing true contact as a lived reality:

  • mutual transparency without merging,
  • subtle resonance through the core of the body,
  • spiritual oneness as the unity and continuity of two individual people, and
  • the spontaneous “touching back” that can arise when two conscious beings meet.

This is not about fixing relationship from the outside. It is a clearing away — a letting go of the holding patterns and beliefs that obscure our true nature, so that intimacy can become a path of awakening.

As Judith writes: “All of our constrictions are moments of our past that we have stopped in their tracks and held in that way, unconsciously. They are frozen moments of our past. But what is frozen can unfreeze, can become fluid. When we focus within these rigidities, we can free this moment and then inhabit those parts of our body that have been lost to us. Instead of living partially in the past, we can live more wholly in the present moment.”

Moments of Intimacy

Intimacy is…

  • Experiencing life through the whole depth of our being.
  • Feeling, knowing, and sensing from the innermost core of our being.
  • Being touched by what we encounter.
  • Allowing life to reach us.

Intimacy does not erase our experience of ourselves. It deepens it.
We become more aware of our own thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, longings, joys, griefs, and desires.
At the same time, we become more available to the life within other people, animals, nature, and the world around us.

How Intimacy Manifests

Life becomes more vivid, nuanced, detailed, impactful, moving, touching, and alive.

There is less filtering and more direct experience.
We are more affected by beauty, love, grief, tenderness, and wonder.
We perceive more subtlety in ourselves and in others.
We listen more deeply.
We see more clearly.
We feel more fully.

Life registers with greater depth and immediacy.
We allow it to impact us and move through us.
Each moment becomes more alive.

Our own being and the world around us become infinitely permeable — substantial and radiant at the same time.
Everything we perceive may seem to be made of empty space, or light.

In quiet moments, in nature, or in atmospheres of particular beauty, we may recognize the same single, subtle light in our own body, in other living beings, in the sky and earth, and even in material objects.

We feel whole in ourselves and, at the same time, open to and intimately continuous with everything around us.
We live in the center of ourselves. We feel, know, and sense from the innermost core of our being.

With each small letting go, intimacy becomes more loving, more aware, more alive.

Mentoring Intimacy is designed for graduates of Mentoring Presence.

Within our larger circle of participants, nine craft 30–40 minute offerings inspired by Judith Blackstone’s The Intimate Life. Shaped through personal mentoring with Mikael, Marika, or Jason, each offering emerges from a place where the chapter has become real in their own body, their relationships, their life.

All participants are supported in pursuing their own living inquiry throughout the course — through the cohort sessions, Integration Groups, and private sessions with their personal mentor.

Read

Before each session, read the assigned chapter from The Intimate Life. In the Session Overview, you’ll see three suggested inquiry threads for each chapter. Notice which inquiry feels most alive for you. It may be one of the three, or something else the chapter awakens in your own experience.

As you read, mark passages that inspire, challenge, unsettle, or illuminate something in you. These passages may help clarify your inquiry — places where Judith’s words touch something directly in your body, relationships, or life.

Meditate

Please meditate 30+ minutes daily, practicing the assigned meditations from that chapter. You may also include your favorite Realization Process meditations or meditations from the suggested recordings linked below.

Reflect

After practicing, take a few minutes to reflect:

  • What impact does your meditation have on you this time?
  • Which inquiry feels most alive for you right now?
  • How do the meditations relate to that inquiry?
  • What feels immediately relevant to your life?

Come with an open heart, a willingness to be touched, and enough spaciousness to let the session unfold. Please be online a minimum of 5 minutes before class starts, meditating in your heart chakra.

Each session begins with a 30–40 minute experiential exploration offered by a certified Realization Process teacher. Inspired by the chapter and shaped through personal mentoring, these explorations emerge from a living inquiry rather than a theoretical presentation.

Following the exploration, the mentor guides a whole-cohort inquiry into its impact — receiving what was touched, challenged, or revealed, and deepening the territory opened by the participant’s inquiry, the practices, and the text itself. The session concludes with Integration Groups — ongoing groups of three that remain together throughout the program, providing a steady relational space in which personal inquiries can deepen and evolve.

The unique heart of this program is the living movement between inquiry, experience, relationship, and reflection. The text illuminates the territory. The practices make it experiential. The participant explorations make it personal. The mentors help us deepen and integrate what emerges. Over time, what begins as an inquiry into a chapter often becomes an inquiry into our own lives.

Mentoring Intimacy is designed as an immersive course. Rather than asking participants to schedule study groups outside the course, the final hour of each session is devoted to Integration Groups.

These ongoing groups of three or four remain together throughout the program, creating a steady relational space in which trust, familiarity, and depth can develop over time. Each week you’ll receive guidance to help you reflect on the session, stay close to what was stirred or revealed, and deepen the inquiry that feels most alive in your own life.

These sessions provide a dedicated space to explore your own living inquiry, deepen your relationship to the chapter and practices, and receive individualized support as your understanding unfolds. You may find that these conversations help you clarify what feels most alive, recognize recurring patterns, and discover new possibilities for contact, healing, and realization.

Each participant is asked to schedule a minimum of three private sessions with their personal mentor, billed directly to your mentor at $150 per session.

Your personal mentor:

Sessions 1–3: Mikael
Sessions 4–6: Marika
Sessions 7–9: Jason

If you are offering an experiential exploration, please schedule at least two private sessions before your offering. The intention is not to create a presentation, but to help you discover what has become real in your own experience and how that discovery might become a doorway for others.

You are welcome to schedule additional sessions with your primary mentor or to explore the unique presence of the other mentors.

As you consider which arc and mentor feel most alive for you, we invite you to look closely at The Journey below — where Mikael, Marika, and Jason each describe the inquiries that were most alive for them when they were in Mentoring Intimacy.

Please have:

  • The Intimate Life by Judith Blackstone — we encourage you to have both a Kindle and a hard copy. The Kindle is useful for word searches; the hard copy invites you to highlight, write in the margins, and mark passages with Post-it notes as your inquiry unfolds.
  • Pen or pencil
  • Crayons, markers, colored pencils, or watercolors for reflection and creative inquiry (optional)
  • A quiet space where you can participate without interruption
  • A device with a camera and microphone
  • An up-to-date Zoom account

You may also find it helpful to keep a folder or notebook for collecting passages, reflections, drawings, questions, and insights that emerge throughout the program. Over time, these often become a valuable record of your unfolding inquiry.

The Journey

The inquiries below offer a glimpse into what Mentoring Intimacy is actually like. They emerged from the times that Mikael, Marika, and Jason were themselves participants in the course — bringing what was most real and alive in them to the whole cohort. As you read, you may sense the humanity of each inquiry, the uniqueness of each person, and the impact that one person’s living truth can have on an entire field of shared inquiry.

The Intimate Life lends itself naturally to three arcs — and it so happened that their inquiries each fell within a different arc. Together they trace a journey from contact to resonance to love — and into a more intimate relationship with life itself.

Sessions 1–3 | Mikael — Relationship • Self-Contact • Schisms

The first arc explores the places where relationship becomes difficult: longing, difference, misunderstanding, conflict, and the fear of losing ourselves in another person.

Together we investigate how schisms in relationship can become invitations into deeper contact. As we learn to remain present with ourselves and others, new possibilities emerge for authenticity, intimacy, and love.

Mikael’s inquiry is rooted in grounding, courage, and trust. He guides participants into the discovery that relationship itself can become a path of healing and realization.

Schism as an Invitation

Mikael’s inquiry begins in the moment when a relationship becomes painful, confusing, or divided. At first, the schism feels like a failure. The mind wants to analyze, blame, repair, or plan the way forward. But as Mikael follows the experience more deeply, the conflict becomes an invitation: a place where intimacy has uncovered what is ready to heal.

Through grounding practices, Mikael guides participants into steadiness in the feet, pelvis, and lower body — contact strong enough to remain present with intense emotion and mental activity. From there, the inquiry opens into the heart. The schism is allowed to rest in an ocean of love. Its sharp edges soften. Understanding is no longer forced.

Mikael’s exploration reveals that we do not need to know the way before entering. We can go in without knowing, receive love where we are afraid, and let love begin again.

How the Session Unfolds

Mikael weaves together:

Personal inquiry: Sharing his movement from resistance, blame, and analysis into steadiness, love, and trust.
Grounding practice: Inhabiting the feet, pelvis, and lower body so intense emotion and mental activity can rest on deeper contact.
One ground: Gathering the centers of the body into the pelvic center, where wholeness and ground become one.
Relational reflection: Inviting participants to bring a relational knot into awareness.
Ocean of love: Allowing the schism to be held, softened, and washed through by love.
Sacred poetry and song: Opening the inquiry beyond analysis into surrender, trust, and love.
Whole-cohort sharing: Receiving the insights that arise — entanglement, steadiness, fear, grief, courage, repair, and love.

Participants enter a guided exploration where Mikael’s inquiry becomes a doorway into steadiness, trust, and the discovery that even our deepest schisms can become invitations into contact and love.

Sessions 4–6 | Marika —Subtle Core • Transmission • Perception

The second arc explores the subtle architecture of contact. Through the subtle core, mutual contact, direct transmission, and bare perception, we investigate what becomes possible when awareness, emotion, and physical sensation are no longer fragmented.

As defensive patterns soften, the body becomes more coherent, perception more immediate, and contact more continuous. We begin to sense the unchanging field of fundamental consciousness that underlies our experience.

Marika’s inquiry is rooted in resonance, restoration, and subtle attunement. She guides participants into the discovery that authentic contact can remain present even within constriction, uncertainty, and change.

Resonance and the Unchanging Field

Marika’s inquiry begins with a profound discovery: authentic contact can remain even when intense constriction, sadness, or physical congestion are present. Drawing on the image of tuning forks, she explores how resonance can arise between people — sometimes through shared wounds and defensive patterns, and sometimes through a deeper attunement to fundamental consciousness.

Through guided meditation and core resonance practices, Marika reveals that healing is not a matter of forcing constrictions to disappear. As we inhabit the spaces within our tightest blocks, release can happen without effort. We discover that even where life has marked us, we can meet in an unchanging, continuous field where each of us is free to exist as we are.

How the Session Unfolds

Marika weaves together:

  • Personal inquiry: sharing her lived discovery that relational contact can remain stable within deep somatic constriction.
  • Guided meditation: inhabiting the internal foundations of the body, subtle centers, and limbs.
  • Somatic resonance: sensing the vibrational tone of our own existence through the centers of the body.
  • The ring of truth: feeling the subtle hum of core contact without disturbing the underlying stillness.
  • Restoration: allowing fundamental consciousness to nourish what has become depleted.
  • Quiet reflection: pausing for silence, writing, or dyadic integration.
  • Whole-cohort sharing: receiving the insights that arise — grief, coherence, tenderness, and trust.

Participants enter a guided exploration where Marika’s inquiry becomes a doorway into resonance, restoration, and the discovery that contact can remain even within constriction.

Sessions 7–9 | Jason — Compassion • Sexuality • Love

The final arc explores what happens when realization permeates the heart and enters the fullness of human life. Compassion deepens. Sexuality becomes part of spiritual wholeness. Love becomes a living expression of our deepest nature.

Together we investigate how old wounds, vulnerability, longing, and self-protection can become gateways into greater intimacy, freedom, and connection.

Jason’s inquiry is rooted in compassion, disentanglement, and love. He guides participants into the discovery that genuine intimacy does not require self-abandonment, and that love can become a path toward becoming more fully ourselves.

Responsiveness Without Responsibility

Jason’s inquiry explores how genuine intimacy rests on contact, consent, and clear boundaries rather than obligation, rescue, or self-abandonment. He begins with a tender and exact recognition: how easily love can become entangled with the need to feel safe, protect, rescue, or be loved. Drawing on Khalil Gibran’s image of love’s threshing floor, he explores the places where longing, fear, responsibility, and care can pull him out of his own body toward another person.

Through guided meditations and direct relational exercises, Jason invites participants into the living experience of these patterns. His inquiry reveals that disentanglement is not withdrawal from love, but a return to genuine contact. What emerges is a clearer, freer intimacy — responsiveness without responsibility.

How the Session Unfolds

Jason weaves together:

  • Personal inquiry: sharing his lived struggle with relational patterns.
  • Guided meditation: moving through the internal foundations of the body and the subtle centers.
  • Core heart breath: using the heart center to soften interpersonal gripping.
  • The three grounds: blending awareness, physical sensation, and love into one continuous space.
  • Direct relational practice: sensing and releasing energetic cords in contact with others.
  • Quiet reflection: pausing for silence, writing, or drawing to allow integration.
  • Whole-cohort sharing: receiving the raw insights that arise — childhood protectors, grief, tenderness, freedom, and love.

Participants enter a guided exploration where Jason’s inquiry becomes a doorway into compassion, freedom, and the discovery that love does not require self-abandonment.

These courses are for people willing to enter the questions that live in them — not alone, but in a field of practice, relationship, and shared inquiry. What matters most is not expertise, attainment, or certainty, but a shared willingness to enter experience deeply enough that something new can emerge.

Spontaneous Words From Within Our Circle

“Normally with this level of constriction, I would be gripping, but somehow I really feel that I still have the contact. I still have some contact. And there’s a lot of flowing.”

“It’s like tears, but it feels like love.”

“It’s like I’m right here in myself, and she’s right there in hers, and nothing has to change for us to exist. Even though I have constrictions and so does she.”

“It felt like coming home. Such a weird thing that it feels like coming home.”

Reflections from the Field

“By pure grace I found Jason online and recognized the wisdom in his writings. Working with him has shown me how expansive and inclusive that wisdom is. Jason provided me with a precious place of solace, a soft resting spot, and a still place where I could finally relax and allow myself to grow and evolve through the stormy seas of radical change and upheaval that were taking place in both my inner and outer worlds. The generosity of his spirit provided me with a heartfelt home where I could rest and gather strength for a genuine return to my body and my true self. I am forever grateful.”

P. E.

“Jason was impressively heart-centric and empathetically guided me into my deepest places I’ve worked with a lot of coaches and therapists, and can say that Jason felt especially present. He will be right by your side every step of the way, and creates a very safe container for you to go into the untraveled pockets of your consciousness to find healing and freedom. If you are seeking a more loving relationship with yourself, a sense of healing, or to feel more embodied, then Jason is your guide.”

Mike M. Coach, Podcaster, Writer

“Working with Jason has been very uplifting. His experience with the Realization Process and his ability to connect the process to the relational and pragmatic facets of daily life facilitates a very enriching experience. While facilitating, his attention to my experience provided a learning environment that helped me deepen my practice.”

Dave B. Nature Connection Guide

“I sought out Marika Baxter because she is trained as a physical therapist. As I’d hoped, her multi-faceted understanding of the body has informed her teaching as she shows me how to move within my limitations. Unexpectedly, she has given me more. She has shared her wisdom about how to discover myself through the medium of my body—which is, after all, my “self.” Marika is calm, kind, and generous with her knowledge. I feel lucky to work with her.”

C. S.

“Marika’s Realization Process practices came at the perfect time for me. During the “stay-at-home” time I looked forward to Sunday evening to settle down my nervous system.  Both the practice of the Realization Process and Marika’s voice took me on an inner journey.  Marika’s approach is gentle, warm and accessible. She has done the work herself and is gifted at guiding others through the process.  I highly recommend working with her.”

EL, Certified Visionary Craniosacral Work (VCSW®) practitioner,

Marika’s offering of subtle energy work has been so beneficial to me especially during the Covid-19. Tuning in to my inner core being helps me to maintain my rhythm and true potential, letting go of blockages and old belief systems. I’m very grateful for all her work, generosity of spirit and soothing voice. Thank you Marika!”

MC, Carmel, NY

“My work with Mikael has reacquainted me with my most grounded and fundamental sense of self: at times challenging and confronting, it has granted me a lightness, clarity, and confidence I could never have imagined before. It has equipped me with a vocabulary beyond language, helped me disentangle from old hurts and make peace with past dynamics, connecting me anew with the treasured traits of awareness, attunement, and presence. I have come to understand this unfolding process as part of a lifelong journey of renewing faith in myself. I carry the rewards of Mikael’s practice with me every day.”

Amelia McConville, PhD, interdisciplinary researcher and communications officer

“Working with Mikael and the Realization Process instantly unfolded a positive effect — from the first session on — and allowed me to experience states that I had been trying to grasp intellectually for a decade. Mikael’s presence and guidance have been of immeasurable value for my healing. Working with him has taught me new and powerful ways to ground myself and regulate in emotionally challenging situations and to feel more aligned in my actions that other therapy forms couldn’t.”

Elli Gomann, executive coach

“I’m deeply grateful for Mikael’s work, and can wholeheartedly recommend his strong, sensitive guidance to anyone seeking the healing possible through deeper contact with one’s inner world. His combination of vulnerability, respect, and gentle, honest insight allowed me to open in ways that I’ve rarely experienced, creating motion around some very deep places that I was not expecting to reach in such a brief exploration.”
